Personal Banker

As a Personal Banker, you’ll be a resource for our customers, promote bank services, manage issues or concerns with a professional and positive attitude, and provide service recovery in a quick and impressive manner. Additionally, the Personal Banker will provide a variety customer service functions, including processing savings account, checking account and loan transactions, cashing checks, selling official bank items. The Personal Banker will also process mail and courier bags, maintain account records, cross-sell services and provide high quality and premier service. Balance each day’s transactions and verify cash totals. Performs account/customer research requests.

Location: Blue Springs, Missouri


  1. Represents the Bank to customers in a courteous and professional manner. Provides prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
  2. Receives checks and cash for deposit or withdrawal on savings and checking accounts, verifies deposit amounts, receives payments for consumer and other loans within bank procedure. Enters all transactions received into the Bank’s records. Following Bank procedures, cashes checks upon verification of signatures, customer account balances and proper approval authorities.
  3. Cross-sells and develops new banking relationships, explaining a variety of account types.
  4. Process mail and courier transactions which include deposits, closing checking, savings, CDs and IRAs, ordering checks, change of address, processing loan payments.
  5. May process transactions related to wire transfers and savings bonds.
  6. May perform new account activities and determine customer needs in order to open a variety of new savings, certificates, IRA, and checking accounts.
  7. May perform ATM functions, such as processing daily transactions, cash replenishment and balancing.
  8. Prepares documents for BSA compliance (i.e CTR and MIL)
  9. May perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.


  1. Prepares form letters, using knowledge of Bank policy.
  2. Processes documents pertaining to incoming and outgoing wires,
  3. Monitors and manages daily Internet banking functions.
  4. Prepares, processes, and verifies daily proof work.


  1. Ability to operate an information terminal and other standard office equipment, such as an adding machine and typewriter.
  2. A high level of interpersonal skills to communicate policies, procedures and objectives effectively throughout the Bank, represent the Bank positively to the public, and cultivate premier relationships with current and potential Bank customers.
  3. Very knowledgeable of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Excellent written and verbal skills.
  5. A good knowledge of all banking services.


  1. Comply with all requirements, policies and procedures of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and attend all mandatory BSA training as needed for this position.  Additionally, required to complete all required compliance and regulatory training, not limited to BSA.
  2. High school diploma required, associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  3. Two to three years similar experience.
  4. Previous cash handling experience preferred.
