Help Jake Find His FurEver Home

June 16th, 2014

JakeHi, my name is Jake and I am a male, 1 year old “Perfect” Pit!  I was rescued by CHAIN OF HOPE in March, and, was discovered by a volunteer, Joe, in an ally, laying in abandoned home.  I was sad, lonely, and hurt. My femur was broken on my right leg.  Thanks to CHAIN OF HOPE, I am now a 3-legged healthy Pit.  I am looking for my “FUR”Ever home!

I am currently living with my foster family and they realized how wonderful I am. I am crate trained, potty trained, well mannered.  I do NOT chew or beg. I really have NO bad habits! I love people, all dogs and cats too! I am lucky, I go to the dog park every day! I love car rides and I am well behaved.  I sit and look out the window and enjoy the view.

O.K. Now you ask yourself why is my foster family not adopting me? They have a Boston Terrier puppy mill rescue and they enjoy traveling. My ideal “FUR”Ever home would be with someone who has a female dog my size.  Bonnie my foster sissy is not a fun playmate. A dog I can romp with.  As I mentioned, I love people and love to give and receive affection….I would like to have a family who is home and not away at work all day. I would love to continue to go to the dog park.  It keeps my leg strong and I enjoy meeting and playing with other dogs.

If you have the “Perfect Home” for me, I would like to join your family. You can learn about me at chainofhopekc.org. Read Kate’s blog from March 28th and read all about me!  I am under the name Guinness.  My foster family simplified my name to Jake!  If you have an interest in me, please fill out the adoption application online. I look forward to meeting you! Or call my foster Mom direct at 816-830-2919.
